Visa Information

International conferees must go through customs and immigration at the point of entry into the United States. Please inquire early about visa requirements to visit the United States from your local U.S. embassy or consulate. For general information on U.S. visa requirements, go to the U.S. Department of States Web site.

We are advising anyone who may need a visa for the attendance at the 2006 Joint Histochemistry Meeting to apply early, at least three months in advance. Security-related policies have greatly increased the processing time for visa applications. U.S. consular officers are now interviewing most applicants as part of the application process.

Information on locating an embassy may be obtained at embassyworld.com

If you require a letter of invitation to the meeting please download the request form and return to the address at the bottom of the form. The letter of invitation does not imply financial support to attend the meeting. Click here to download the letter of invitation form.
